Madrid Pride or Orgullo Gay de Madrid as it’s known locally, is the largest LGBT event in Europe, every year, attracting millions of revellers to the streets of the Spanish capital!
Held on the weekend immediately following June 28, the International Day of LGBT Pride, the parade is held in the heart of the city, usually beginning at Atocha train station (Madrid’s largest) and finishing at the iconic Plaza de Colón, whilst the preceding days feature a vibrant array of parties, events and concerts from a host of world-renowned artists and musicians!
Following the cancellation of the 2020 edition due to the global pandemic, in the summer of 2021, the streets of the Spanish capital will once again play host to Europe’s largest and most extravagant Pride parade. Expected to attract a record-breaking number of visitors, Madrid Pride 2021 will feature a total of 6 days of events, concerts and parties, culminating in the pride parade on Saturday 3rd of July, followed by a closing party on the Sunday.
